We got an e-mail from Sofia and the tone in her mail made us have to visit https://www.wizcase.com/blog/ultimate-online-privacy-guide-for-journalists/ which she mentions in the email.
It took a while before we understood what the blog post published on March 20, 2021 by a Lucca RF – then it became quite obvious that the blog post is not about anything other than so-called affiliate programs where the person promoting a product gets a kickback from the manufacturer.
We take VPN services as an example. The site where the blog post is located only recommends VPN services that are known for offering kickbacks and we at PrivacyNow.EU feel that you have to offer money for people to write well about your product, so there is something in the product that does not live up to the manufacturer’s promise!
If you promote a number of VPN services without presenting Mullvad (https://mullvad.net/) then in our opinion you are completely out in the blue – but of course they do not mention Mullvad as they offer no kickback.
We end as the title says – nice try, Sofia!
